LT Crunch Data CBCA 12776
Country: Canada
Submitted by: Owner, Jaline Knoll
Results: CARRIER
Additional information:
Crunch's dam, Gyp, was BAER tested in October of 2017 and at the time she was quite deaf. Her DNA (blood sample) was sent to Dr. Lohi as part of the EAOD research and Gyp's results came back At Risk. Gyp was immediately spayed and re-homed into a pet/companion home. As of now (2020) she is completely deaf.
One of Crunch's littermates was tested and also came back as CARRIER for EAOD.
Crunch was BAER tested in June 2019, her results were bilateral NORMAL. Second BAER test in June 2020, her results were bilateral NORMAL again. I will personally continue to BAER test yearly until the test for EAOD is no longer a marker/linkage test.
