"Rose went deaf around the age of 7. One day she could hear fine, within a year she was completely deaf. Rose's dam, Sarah, lived to the ripe old age of 16! Her hearing was pretty good until around 12 yrs. As far as I know, none of Sarah's other offspring from different sires were deaf, but then again I lost touch with most of the puppy owners over the years." - Hilary Flower
Rose's daughter Gin also went deaf at 3.5 years old and produced deaf offspring herself. None of these dogs were tested for EOD as they were born and lived in the early 2000's.
